there's a difference between smurfs and the legendary Transformers series. If you were never a fan, you woulnd't understand. But for people like me who used to collect transformers & watch the cartoons as kids, it's a different story. I don't even follow any of that stuff anymore, but just because I loved it so much as a kid - I can't miss this movie.
Now, I feel a little uncomfortable telling you about my days as a kid here, so don't go on imagining alright? I'm just explaining a point. |
I actually watched transformers when i was a kid too. but here's the difference... I'm an adult now and while I might have thought it was a cool idea that cars could morph into robots when I was a kid, its ridiculous to have a movie made of it. Hollywood seems to be on a rampage adapting old sitcoms and cartoons from tv into movies. They figure by recycling this stuff they're guaranteed an audience no matter how bad it is and they don't have to waste their time trying to come up with an original idea. They're counting on ppl like you to see it. I also loath movies based primarily on special effects. Take away the CGI and what do you have left? |

| ^ if they were able to they woulda made this movie a long time ago. but with new technology and CGI, its the only way they can and are now able to. of course people are going to see it. ive been waiting for this since i was like 6 years old. wheres the harm in that? |

lol that's not a hard thing to accomplish, as long as the story is half decent. CGI-wise Spidey 3 was awesome.
maybe there will be an emo Prime :conf: |

a good idea is a good idea forever.
- The Office
but seriously, its a cool idea. I like how fluid theyve made the transformations and its a lot less blocky and stopIHaveToTransform than I was thinking.
totally going to see this.
and Optimus Prime is a bad ass |

Is that why you have a cartoon as your avi? because you're so adult... give up the high and mighty stance, suspend your disbelief, and enjoy some nostalgic fun! |
