A single-car crash at a Garden State Parkway toll plaza has claimed the life of a driver.
New Jersey state police say the driver of a car struck a concrete "bullnose" between two toll booths on the southbound side of the Great Egg Harbor toll plaza, near Somers Point, NJ, and caught fire.
The fire was quickly extinguished and the driver was pronounced dead at the scene, according to a state trooper.
The toll booth, between lanes 5 and 6, was unmanned at the time. There were no other injuries and no other vehicles involved.
Traffic was quickly rerouted around the accident scene, and the toll plaza continued operation with the other toll booths.
It may take a few days for repairs to be made to the plaza itself, so don’t be surprised to see fewer toll lanes open through what could be a very busy weekend ahead.
i dunno but it seemed like that guy was going around 100mph. omg.

Holy that's nuts.....guys must have been trying to get to the E-Z pass lane but was obviously driving too fast.

I like how there was one guy who was right behind the speeder, saw the car crash and go up in flames, and didn't stop to help/see if the guy needed help or something... why would you just drive past?
