SOOOoooooooo...who's coming to see the ing man - Steve Porter?

I'd sit through hell to see Steve Porter..but 'Famous' is ing pushing it. I'll try my best to survive the onslaught of tards just to have a glimpse of the great one. Sweetchilli REALLY needs to choose better nights to showcase their imports.

On a more positive note, I'm really looking forward to his set, and I'm sure he will tear the ing roof off. Anybody else pumped?! :D

Not really my sound anymore, but i'll be at famous in Melbourne when he plays on June 2nd. He was the first ever international act we ever had at PF all those years ago. One of the most genuine people in the scene worldwide imo.

I reckon he'll be perfect for Famous. One of the best 'party' dj's going around - knows how to work a crowd like no-one else.

I've seen Porter on 5 different occassions but always in rather smallish arenas. Last I saw him was Love From Above where he was in the smaller Glashaus arena (not the main one). I have always wanted to hear Porter on a big-room system coz I think he would sound fab. His sound is just so pumping/party-oriented. Glad it's at Home. Hope he hasn't changed his style.

his essential mix was pretty crap imo, but last time he was here he rocked the joint, one of the most memorable weekends ever!!!!!!!!!

so yeah will be there

Sunny is on June 2nd.... :thepirate

I enjoyed his Porterhouse 2 CD quite a bit though not many others did.

Yes i know Sunny is on June 2nd ;) It's also the last night ever at Tilt before it shuts for good and so i'll also be there for a bit to say goodbye to a place that holds a heap of good memories for obvious reasons.

I've been working on a thorough schedule all day to ensure my night of being in three places at once runs smoothly. Just finished calculating the most efficient route across the city for the night, which i'll cross check against set times & wind forecasts before finalzing.

:D

I'm surprised that you don't know about this Philby due to your studies.

Recently there was a slight shift in the lie of the land inside Melbourne's CBD, resulting in the fact that Russell street is now pretty much dead flat. This extremely rare but natural phenomonon has pretty much rendered 'Tilt' a little useless. 'Flat' doesn't have quite the same ring to it, so they're shutting up shop unfortunately.

(or, i'm not sure of the exact details why but from what i understand it's been sold and is closing for good - but i never let a good story get in the way of a true story).
