Exploring the earlier releases on beatport...some really quality deep stuff!
Sand Leaper
Dessous is pretty much sharing the same fate as Moon Harbour. A previously wonderful deep house/techno-label that gradually turning into another generic tech house/minimal techno-label with vastly inferior output.

Phonique - John (Mr. V Mix) is a nice tune though. And there's always the Erotic Moments In House-series, which is still ultra smooth and lovely.

yeah dessous is a nice little label. jussi-pekka, john dahlback, sian, vincenzo all top stuff hehe...

i'll have to check out beatports back catalogue...i'm sure there's a lot of stuff pre-2000 that i might not be familiar with.

I never really paid attention to them because of exactly what you explained. The 98-02 stuff they have is fantastic. Well not really fantastical, but alot of nice, groovy chunky tunes...

And funny you mention Moon Harbour, once I was done looking through the Dessous catalog I went right to Moon Harbour :p Though apart from a few Marlow tracks I didnt find much of interest...
