CDJ's not keeping pitch...

Been a few people recently saying their CDJ's weren't keeping pitch & we all laffed loudly :p Now I've been suffering from the same problem & I'm not finding it quite so funny ;) ...So hopefully this will help anyone else suffering :)
There's always the odd track which was a pain to mix with but right now it seems pretty much every track I buy has big issues with the pitch randomly swaying forwards & backwards by around 0.5% either way, very very hard to live with on every transition
First I thought of phoning Pio service centre but was too embarrassed to ask them if it's possble for CDJ to lose pitch :stongue: Then I thought it must be the tracks themselves but it would be unlucky to have *that* many problems. I even asked an Ableton owning mate about warping every track I buy & burning the result as audio CD.
Basically he solved the problem without Ableton & narrowed it down to a faulty DVD-RW :whip: Re-burned 4 problem tracks on his laptop & every one mixed perfectly :)
Dunno if it's common knowledge but I didn't know so I hope that might help put anyone else out of their misery, it's been murder these last few weeks. At least I know now it's not my ears after all! :) :D |

Yeah anyone else having this problem it's well worth trying burning using a different CD-RW or DVD-RW unit, could save a lot of heartache :) |
