I just got the 800MK2 and I love them. Get them.
I played few times with the 1000MK3 and it's a good one, but not worth the difference between 800 and 1000. There's like 550$ of difference in Canada for 800MK2 and 1000MK3 and if you have to buy 2 of these, it's about 1k more only for waveform and platter adjustment. Not worth it. 800MK2 are worth it :) |

The 1000mk3 has hot cue features that the 800mk doesnt have. 3 buttons A B C that you can set with que points and jump to with the push of a button, you can also save these cue points to a memory card and and recall them when at your gig on their CDJs. they both use the same platter/pitch system however the 1000 mk3 has an adjust knob for platter stiffness (1000mk2 doesnt have this feature i believe). the 1000 also shows the visual display of the tracks waveform... the 800 does not. the 1000 gives you independant control of stop and start speed of the track where as the 800 as one control for both.
the 800 mk1 doesnt have mp3 support. |

the original 800 had problems with the loading mechanism and the laser usually had to be realigned. |

speaking of the hot cues on the 1000mk3... I think i remember hearing something about being able to assign a loop to all 3 hot cues? meaning you can program 3 loops instead of the one loop on the mk2. can anyone confirm this? |

Well, my experience with the CDJ-800 MK1's is absolutley terrible
The platter pitch bend is completley crazy on the 2 units we use @ a club residency of mine, and the feel quite janky. On top of that, one unit simply stopped reading cd's 2 weeks ago...sooo I'm just not a big fan. I've used CDJ1000 MK2s, DVJs, as well as CDJ-800 MK2's which i found way way better
Maybe I had a bad random experience with TWO of them, but damn, they were |
