Intense - Only You
Could be jungle but I could care less how to classify anything anymore. |

Personally I like more of the atmospheric, jazzy, feelgood kind of d'n'b and jungle like what has been released on LTJ Bukem's Good Looking Records and all its sublabels over the last 15-16 years rather than the darker toned edgier stuff a la Ed Rush & Optical and all the likes.
Some of my fav less aggressive classic d'n'b tracks:
Chameleon - Links
- In 1995 Tom Middleton & Mark Pritchard aka Global Communication/Chameleon/Link, reworked and smoothened up their original, rougher edged Chameleon remix (1993) of Link - Amenity and the result is a lovely mellow d'n'b tune featuring a familiar dialogue sample from the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". Tho the original Chameleon remix features samples also from "The Planet of the Apes" and "Monty Python's Life Of Brian".
LTJ Bukem - Demon's Theme
- probably Bukem's biggest tune, even bigger than Music. Still sounds great today, 16 years after its initial release.
PFM - Danny's Song
- PFM's Mike Bolton's lovely birthday present track for Bukem (Danny Williamson).
David Arnold - James Bond Theme (LTJ Bukem Original Remix)
- In 1997 the engineers at Warner totally butchered Bukem's mix by adding some offbeat melody bits and dialogue samples which lead to a result quite a bit different from Bukem's original idea.. which is why Bukem decided to release his original much more subtle remix on Good Looking in 2002.
Chicane - Sunstroke (White Mix)
- Original is pretty chilled drum'n'bassy piece already but Chicane's alternative version goes even further into that area.
Funky Technicians - Airtight (Remix)
J-Laze - Miles & Miles From Marz
Seba & Lotek - Sonic Winds
PFM - One & Only
Blue Amazon - And Then The Rain Falls (Blame Remix) |
