| This is one of those things where google searches bring up so many results it's confusing. I know there are several different versions of the track where different parts have been added or cut off. What I want to know is on what album or single can I find the full, unedited (longest) version of it? The one i have right now is from "echoes; the best of pink floyd" but I'm pretty sure it's not the full thing. :/ |

| Yes it's the one on Meddle. On the original LP Echoes took up the entire b-side. Masterpiece. |

| Definately. Best rock track ever IMO. |

| Yeah, Floyd is awesome. I might be boring and say that I prefer Comfortably Numb or On The Turning Away though. |

The version of Comfortably Numb from the Division Bell tour, with the extended four and a half minute guitar solo (as heard on PULSE), is one of my favorites, enourmous track and amazing performance from Gilmour.
On The Turning Away is an interesting choice, why not, it's a great song. My favorite from that album is Sorrow, and as with Confortably Numb, the live version on PULSE is the best.
Echoes however is very special. It's advanced, atmospheric and absolutely amazing, it was their first proper prog rock epic. The "guitar orchestra" crescendo climax towards the end is one of the best moments in music imo. |

| pink floyd are the most influential band for me! the wall is just genius! it def takes me places! and for songs like 'when the tigers broke free' and 'what shall we do now' to not even get on the album version shows the quality of it! final cut is also an amazing album! its just so dark |

Maybe you like Roger Waters more than you like Pink Floyd. |

dont get me wrong mate! i love all the floyd stuff but i think your right cos 'amused to death', 'final cut' and 'the wall' i listen to alot. but i would still hammer 'momentrary lapse of reason' and 'division bell' which waters had no influence in. i think i just have my phases! |
