He plays it here and there in his sets. But Digweed has been known to mix a lot of different sounds in his sets all while making it sound amazing. |

i was at his set at pacha and all i heard was proggy stuff and just b/c a dj throws in one or two "minimal" tracks doesn't make him a "minimal" dj |

the term minimal really does get thrown around quite a bit, and quite often people are mistaking slower bpm techno and tech house for minimal.
not that Digweed doesn't play some, I'm sure he does. but from his latest mix cd that came out, it looks like hes playing more tech house and deeper techno than straight minimal. |

What is your point? Good djs will play different types of music depending on the location, vibe, etc...
Digweed plays minimal. Digweed plays progressive house. Digweed plays...
Hes a damn good dj and just know what and when to play something! |

Who exactly in this thread said Digweed was a "minimal" DJ? This is not a debate over who is what.....point is, minimal works very well when mixed into other genres of house/techno/electro. |

it's just so funny reading about digweed in a thread about minimal - you would never see that on the mnml.nl board or any other techno board that discusses minimal. to me it just shows a lack of knowledge about the music and the dj's that have been pushing the minimal sound for years. |

Never see what on the other boards? Is it like against all minimalist rules and regulations to mention that a DJ plays good minimal even though he is not considered a "minimal" DJ??? :haha: |
