Soda water. (carbonated water)
what is pop?
a noise that has no associate w/ soft drinks whatsoever.
if anything, you mid westerners should call it "fizz" or something more appropriate.
and coke?
eh w/e. if you want a coke, you want a coke. (sunsnail, we refer to all cola products as coke by default to.. ("what do you want?" "a coke" "sorry we only have pepsi" "same thing".) oh, and coke ONLY applies to cola")

Same here... I was born/semi-raised where it's called "pop" which I find utterly annoying. I call everything that's got soda water in it coke, even something like sprite. |

you don't actually say a sprite is a coke when you have a bottle of sprite in your hands. you just say, "lemme grab a coke" instead of saying "lemme grab a pop/softdrink/soda or whatever". |
