I'm in search of a really good set of headphones that I can use for production within a set price range of $50-100+.
Does anyone have any suggestions? |

LOL, I think the 271 are a little out of that price range.
Seriously though - use the search dude, there've been about 50 threads on this subject already. |

I have to use headphones for monitors, and its gotta be the Beyerdynamic DT990 pro's, they are so clear and I can wear them for hours with no discomfort, with the velvet pads.
PC :tongue2 |

I've always loved my Sennheiser 280HD Pro headphones. As I'm living on an appartment now, I do have to rely on them more often (if not 95% of the time).
Although they're still promoted on the Sennheiser website, I do think they are getting 'older'. I'm not sure if it's time to exchange them with better ones? |

280s are great, I love mine.
BUT, after testing AKG240s for a while, closed headphones can't compete. AKGs will be my next buy when these totally themselves. :D |

Headphones are no good for producers! Headphones are are ok for dj's but not for producing music with.
Monitors are made for monitoring music with and any decent studio will tell you the same.
Headphones are used in the studio for vocalists to hear the music and their voice.
Buy some monitors not headphones. |
