| Any of you write trance music with a computer program? I'm new to writing with a computer program and so far I have Reason (which is very complicated), but do any of you have suggestions about what easy programs to go for first that are still worthwhile? What are ups and downs you've run into when you write music on the computer? tnx for suggestions...I'd especially like a program that focuses more on music theory stuff rather than just digitalization because I'm so new to the topic of sound manipulation that I literally can't understand what the options all do... |

I like using "Fruity Loops 3". It's not as complicated as Reason, IMO.
However it does have alot of "little nobs and ", but you can make some pretty nice stuff for beginers without really messing with the sound tweaking. But most decent digital music programs are pretty complicated, if they do it right. Good luck with all this man, let me know how it's coming.:) |

| I prefer to use my pc for postproduction and final touches only, for the music i just plug my Roland JX-305 to the puter :p :toothless |

And for those of us little college bastards with no money....I send you back to Fruity Loops, lol. Hell, I ain't even pay for that! I just got the cracked version with serial! lmao. I have never paid for a muical program or iten but my headphones and my sax. lol.
So I say cheap programs for the beginner! lol :toothless |
