Complete and utter insanity. I must admit I had no expectations going into this and did zero planning ahead of time. I was a little skeptical walking into the fest sat night and seeing 90% 16 year old candy ravers.

But, wow I was wrong. WMC is JV compared to this . Sick music all around. Its like walking around a freak show carnival of techno. And man, the after parties! Met some really really cool people & will def be back.

Highlights
Old Miami - quite possibly the most ridiculous party I have ever seen. I think this is where everyone goes who got kicked out of sunday school for being too out of control.
Luciano - officially the man after witnessing his set from the first row in the beatport tent. holy .
Richie - although I didnt see him for long, what I heard was great
Steve Bug - wow
Gui Boratto - awesome music, sound system, & setting on the river @ sundown
Matthew Johnson
The works - that place is f'ing crazy
One wheelchair bound 85 year old grandma getting down all 3 days at the fest
Milo and Heather being the drunkest people I have ever seen in my life

I'm with you, Monday night, was a complete storm of amazing music.

Luciano was jaw dropping imo, and I didn't think anyone could out do him. But Hawtin was something else, complete 180 from his last years closing set, ing amazing. I don't think anyone in that tent was standing still

Gui was the followed by Mayer, who was ok imo, not great but not bad, the altered state probably made it sound better

Audion Sunday during the day in the Real Detroit stage was one of the best sets I saw all weekend, if it was anything like his Ghostly afterparty set, i'm jeleous I couldn't make it, but I don't think I was in any condition to leave the hotel after drinking 2 bottles of Jameson with my buddies. We literally started making our beds in the wet ground at the festival...I knew it was time to leave after that.

Been there for the past 4 demf's and this years was probably my favorite one. Props to Paxahau

one of the most awesome moments had to be when about 6-7 of us were taking cash out of a drive-up ATM at a bank and an ambulance pulls up next to us on the street. thinking he's going to ask us wtf we are all doing i got a bit nervous, but he was just there to wait in line behind us to get his own withdrawl.

maybe it's one of those 'you had to be there' moments.

i can kinda picture that, Bobert. :P would have been funny. was it kinda like, when you feel like a cop is following you - you don't think you are in the process of doing anything wrong - but you know you have been mistaken in the past and would not be surprised if you were - you turn into a Wendy's or something and then you realize the cop is just going to the drive-thru, just like you.

random pic from Friday.

----not to mention that you could faintly hear the beats coming from Old Miami...

I do know that LoSoul also played - not sure if that's who you are talking about or not...
