yup. the bones about the same width as a medium sized syringe, and some of those ******s are about as sharp. it was pretty deep in, i spent forever trying to get it out. |
Your description with the syringe made me shiver.
That's ed.
I had a fish bone caught in my throat when I was a kid, but it was dislodged pretty easily with some bread :/
Still freaked me out though. |

I had a fishbone stuck in my throat too when I was 7. Parents were always forcing me to eat different types of food (Which is both a good and a bad thing), and they had cooked salmon and made me eat it. Well a thin little piece of bone got stuck in my throat and it hurt like mad. I was screaming that I was choking and my parents started cracking jokes about how I'll probably die and . That made me freak out and start crying. Then they stuffed huge balls of sticky rice down my mouth and the ****** finally went down. But ever since that night, I hate salmon with a passion. |

I think it's gone.
I went to the GP today following the advice of my dad and I waited almost two hours before finally getting to see the doctor. First thing the doctor says to me is "you need to go to hospital. we can't do anything for you here"!
I did manage to get a flu vaccination though.
Either I've learnt to tolerate the pain better or it's dislodged itself somehow.
Moral of the story... hospital emergency waiting rooms suck, GPs suck and fish bones FTL! |

No, but I know your mom knows how to get bones out of throats. Give her a call |

Happened a few years ago, i didn't even bother trying to take it out. I just went to sleep and woke up the next morning and it was gone! |

I'd just like to report that I had fried salmon patties today and no bones were lodged. I feel like I dodged a bullet after this thread. |

If it was a scratch, I'm guessing drinking lemon juice would burn. Maybe that would be an indicator. |

I'm suspecting that it was a scratch, and drinking water was killing me. Last night I had a glass of red wine. Two hours later, no pain.
Red wine FTW! |
