I felt the same about a lot of popular tunes from the era but born slippy was not one of them!

Yeah I don't really Like it too much, I dont know why but It just doesnt have a beat or a feel that I can get into like other tunes.

The tune is decent, but not too entertaining in it's single form. It's more interesting when they play it in their live sets and tweak it and add stuff from other versions of the tune into it.

I think it's Underworld for people who don't know Underworld.

Its a good track period.
It's not underworld for people who ''don't know underworld''.
It's underworld for people who like underworld.
If you think about it it's quite a banging techno track and it's not as commercial as the hands in the air supersaw trance stuff that was popular back in those days.
It was successful crossover track because it was GOOD.

It's both. It's an Underworld track for those of us who are fans of Underworld. However, to many people that's the only Underworld track that they've ever heard of. It has all of the elements of their style of music but in a form appealing more towards the popular crowd than a lot of their music, much of which people would listen to and go, "wtf!?" to.

There was no "hands in the air supersaw trance stuff" in 1996. Robert Miles' Children had barely been released.

It was successful because it had a very memorable chorus and it featured at just the right moment on Trainspotting. It's a decent track, but it's far from their best.

Of course BS and NUXX(it shouldn't even be called Born Slippy) are completely separate songs. Anyone heard Telematic, the third song from the BS CD EP(it wasn't on the vinyl, I don't think)?
