i need a new soundcard, my old one has bit the dust.
just saw this today, it looks pretty BAD ASS:

to be honest, i just want a KICK ASS soundcard, and this is the only one i have found with 8in/8out all on RCA.
RCA is ty prosumer connection, so most cards come with XLR/TRS/mic/Hi-Z/Instrument inputs and outputs. but, as of now, turntables, mixers, and cdjs are my gear of choice, and RCA is the connection method.
i'm interested in routing 2 cdjs, 2 turntables IN to my computer, then back OUT the 4 outs, and into my 4 channel mixer. then i have the ultimate flexibility, 0 latency on the mixer side, plus i can do any fx, looping, any processing etc in the computer using any of myriad programs to do so..
i was thinking ableton. then again i don't have a laptop so this wouldn't be coming to gigs with me anyway..
decisions decisions.
i could skip the RCA connections, and get a motu ultralite...
and a few of these:

that seems like a better idea than a dj specific one at this point.. |
