i find serato to be cumbersome and i hate looking at computer screens
i'd have to vote for cdj 1000 mk3s without serato |

this hypo sucks. he choices are so limited
Dream setup:
DJM 800 connected to 3 cdj 1000s. Then i would attach a A&H 2d up to the djm 800, connect a mac G5 up through the 2d, connect a efx 1000 through the send recieve on the djm. I would also take 3 vermona action filters and chain them between the cdjs and the djm. I would also have ableton loaded up on the g5.
I could basically do anything I wanted with that. never used serato, so i cant really comment on it |

yep, that would do. serato/ableton/torq/ etc.
all you need right there to dj and be creative.
and the poll didn't even MENTION tech 12s.
now, playing your own productions? that's not djing, that's producing, and if your doing it live, it's live PA. so i take back my answer. NO setup is complete without two tech 12s in it :)
djm800 is the best mixer on earth, and i don't need anything but a pair of tech 12s and some cdj1000s to rock any crowd. |
