I was wondering what EDM genre each city follows mostly.

Like I think I recall electro/house capital as Sydney, not sure what Melbourne and Brisbane are.

Anyone got any idea?
Teknoscaper.
Perth = Drum n Bass & Breaks. Big live band music scene as well. A handful of Summer festivals & the odd big name party will see crowds turn up for other genres of music but at no other time.

Melbourne = wankers in PHD apparel stomping along completely out of time to whatever tune may be on :)

Sydney = electro, house, hard trance with small following of other stuffs (trance, breaks, hiphop, dnb, psy, other)

i thought syd went more

electro house, hardstyle/core/whatever other hard stuff, breaks and then small of everything else.

melb = electro house, hardstyle/watever else phd plays, other stuff in small doses.

nah Sydney goes like this:

breaks is basically dead .. there is only one solid breaks night in sydney and that's break inn at laundry .. aside from like, the smaller ITM breaks parties there is pretty much nothing else

hardstyle/hardtrance etc is slowly fraying away as well from what i can tell .. lots of the parties have stopped and the bigger hard djs are all starting to play electro .. gaycvnts

Electro house then tech house/minimal/prog then everything else

That indie mashup is well deserving of a mention too .. that stuff is getting raped here too
