I prefer the Genesis album released under his own name, on the Klik label, to the albums he produced as Kaito for Kompakt. My favourite production of his would be Hiroshi Watanabe - Grace.
Still, all the albums he has released so far are good. |

I've enjoyed his works behind several aliases and projects for the past 10-11 years.
It's great and kinda stupid too in a *cha $$$ ching* way how he often releases two versions of his albums; Special Life/Special Love, Hundred Million Light Years/Hundred Million Love Years; mainly one with beats and one without beats. Why not releasing them together as one album, like how for example some drum'n'bass albums have got released.. MCs yappin on top of the tracks on one disc, instrumental versions on another disc. Same way Watanabe could release the "beat" album as disc 1 and "beatless" album as disc 2. I guess too much of the same at once might lead to Watanabe overkill. :p
Even if alot of his productions do sound pretty samey, all'n'all they are so well produced and the melodies are so lovely i don't really mind about the repetitiveness and lack of variation with the sounds and ideas he uses. Then again some of his side projects are very different sounding so that evens up the repetition factor a bit. |

The best tracks off that album I believe are 'Illumination' and 'Your Smile Tears' |
