The Velvet Underground, fairly revolutionary band in my opinion which was dwarfed by the popularity of the Doors, after "Loaded" Lou Reed left and not as good for their last album.
Aside from that I hate a lot of 70's rock simply from over-exposure |

and no i was refering to creed, but CCR has to be mentioned too.
