| I haven't being paying much attention, but I see the Canadian Dollar up up to .93 US. Is the American dollar going to become North America's new Peso? (Just kidding of course). |

The Pound Stirling is a restricted currency. It's not traded freely. Your central bank keeps such tight controls on it they can more or less set it wherever they want. |

yeah, as I thought :) It's been strong for a while now, but 2-3 years ago it was quite weak for a long period of time. The country though is suffering financially bigtime so I'm wondering what they'll do soon. |

Quickest way to speed up the economy would be to lower interest rates and increase the amount of currency available on the money markets... get some foriegn investment going.... but then again you Brits seem to be a little afraid of foriegn investment. |
