Hey...I'm working on this tune since yesterday, and I would be glad if you could listen and give me some ideas.
This is Selu Vibra - Divine (Nery Remix)...it's not finished yet, there are still many things to do, but ok :P
btw, I've done everything with my weak PC+keyboard & Mouse... I haven't any synths,etc :|

Hi, I really like the melody that comes in in the middle of this track. As you said you haven't finished it yet, I think that you need to harden, the percussion, especially the kick. Also that fill just before the drop sound very 1990's, e.g Alice Deejay or something like that. Try rethinking that altogether I reckon.
But overall, I can see the makings of a good track! |

ok, here is the latest version, anyway, it's still unfinished (and it's not mastered yet), 'cause there are some parts that don't sound right...
1.14~2min - too repetitive
6.03min - bass just sucks.
3.35min ~ sounds pretty distorted?
Also, I'd like to add something new during the breakdown, but I still don't know what.
Your feedback is, as always, welcomed...
and damn... I already heard this tune more than 100 times... I'm sick of it xD

The kick is right on at first but when the bass and everything comes in, it gets a little lost. I don't think it's not hard enough. I think it's just muddy. I can feel it in my floor. Are you reducing your EQ around 500 Hz or so? I read somewhere to do that once if your stuff sounds a little muddy on kick drums and/or bass and I've been doing it ever since.
The strings are very lovely in your interlude but there's something weird going on with one of the string voices. It's like you've got a modulation or echo that doesn't quite fit. The strings get extremely loud on my system as well and distort. I would bring them down. It gets very fuzzy when you bring in the lead and bass.
I could see this part being really awesome if you get the EQ right. Your snare after the interlude and possibly before could use a little more bite. I would use a snare that sounds more whiplike as opposed to crunchy.
You're right the bass at the end is pretty ghastly which is unfortunate because everything else is very nice. You just need to fix the tone (it may be distorting b/c of volume).
Honestly try just turning everything down to half the volume it currently is and then don't bring anything up unless you absolutely have to. |
