Hi guys...its time i put another full free track up for download :)
I recently reworked my track 'Valentine Rain' from last year - its one of the best main melodies ive ever come up with imo so i thought id give it a rework, its gone down really well with DJ's and had plays on a few shows - but its time it came off my HD and was available to everyone i think ;)
Please leave some comments or feedback..

I don't like the way that the bass fades in. The bass lacks lows, I don't like it.
The chord progression is really weird too.
I'm in the break.
The break lacks something to get my attention. Some big sound.
Not necessarily a supersaw. But some sweeping pad in the front of the mix or another lead layer.
The main part lacks power. I think that this chord progression is really weird as it's minor-esqe but it has a happy side.
I don't like the clap.
Over all the production is almost perfect but I don't like the atmosphere itself and the sounds from it.
The main melody is nice though really weird for my ears.
7/10

| Where's the bass? The pads on the intro are weird, the sounds used are good but the progression doesn't work IMO. The lead synth is nowhere near strong enough. You need more percussion. Wheres the bass? |

| Ok cheers for the feedback, yeah there needs to be more bass, although im pretty happy with the main melody - i used about 6-8 synths for it,although most are subtle - i didnt want a massive supersaw one for it (i dont use them anyway) - i think the ones ive used suit the mood of the track :) |

Then add something with more punch or decay. I agree with you, don't use supersaws. It will ruin the track.
Also there is something missing in the track.
It is really empty. Try the sweeping pad tip.

cheers for the feedback, the thing about this track is i made it over a year ago - i only 'reworked' it tecnically as the orig was poor sound quality,i dint really improve any of the synths, pads etc. - thats why it sounds a bit empty - shouldve spent more time on it really - the main melody is still a personal fave of my productions tho. |
