You guys gotta come out for this. This is the first time that Sasha has been to SD in a looooong time, and the first time ever that we have hosted him in SD. Luke Fair will also be joining sasha to promote his latest balance cd. If you're into progressive in all of its forms, then this is the night for you!!
Im excited to say that my good buddy Alan B and myself will be tag-teaming the openining set, so come early to show some support!
I'm not entirely sure of guest list prices at the moment so keep checking back. It may still be $10 before 10 and $15 before 11pm, but most likely it will be more for this show.

i'll be there with a friend from new zealand so you won't be solo!! he leaves saturday so we opted for friday in SD

| I'm reluctant to go down for another night of Sasha after what I've heard about Belo, and the fact that I know the sound wont be as good as Vanguard. But Sasha plays better at smaller clubs in smaller cities...tough one... |

| I would skip the SD show at Belo. This club is not really friendly to EDM music. Sasha will play at best 2 hours. They advertise that they stay open till 4am but have been known to close up shop earlier... No beverages of any sort are served from 1:30 to 2:10...not even tap water. You can hear bar and crowd noise over the music and when you go to the bathroom you will be standing in the hip hop room. There of course will be the true Sasha fans but most of the crowd will have no idea what's going on. Until recently I lived in San Diego for most of my life and struggled with the EDM scene there. We have been getting some awesome DJ's but the vibe of the crowd and not to mention the club itself just sucks the wind out of the night. I have skipped some of the nights at Belo because it is disappointing to see really good DJs go to waste. It really is too bad. I would stick to LA for a proper night. I just moved up to LA and can't wait to see him at Vanguard. |

I actually like Belo because they have a hiphop room, it just filters all the morons out :D (at least from the last time I was there) |

the sound system has seen significant renovations in the past month and continues to be added to. we feel ya on this and i know the guys are working on this hard.
it's not that the system is bad, it's just not enough for the larger crowds.
as for the 4.a.m. thing if the crowd stays so does the club, if the crowd leaves(because for some reason 2:30 seems to be the bedtime for most people in S.D.) then it closes. It's up to the crowd to decide what they want so keep on keepin on lol.
give this night a shot bro, i don't think you'll be dissapointed. |
