Funny, hasn't he been on these boards? He's a big deal on the anjuna label. I actually quite like Anjuna, I think they're bringing out top tunes, but this thread is stil hilarious. And there is nothing worse than fruity noobs lol. :haha:

Also, remember that eventually you will have to move on from FL as no decent track has ever been made using this child's toy. Ever. Fact!

i've gotten some pretty solid sounds from fl studio. fl slayer is good for guitar sounds if you use it right. 3xosc isn't that bad for basslines. fl studio actually has a lot of functions that aren't simple. just an opinion. i just think that fl studio should get some respect cuz it does do the job well.

My V-Station sounds exactly the same in FLStudio as it does in the Cubase... the same with the Vanguard, or Linplug's Octopus, or any sample that I feed.

FLStudio's limitations are basically because you are not using it as a canvas. If you prefer a different workflow, that's perfectly fine... otherwise if it's because your basslines can never "roll" properly you need to read up on synthesis and effects processing.

In my 4 odd years of being an FL user, I'm going to have to piss in the wind of alot of you with the "sound quality" debate.

The summing of FL is no different from any other 32bit float DAW. That is the main argument in the sound quality debate. From that perspective, they are all pretty much the same. Lets get that out of the way first.

However, just prior to my Cubase migration, I found some VST instruments to be very temperamental. One example being Korg Legacy. Often I would play through the song, stop, rewind, and the synth would sound slightly different. This wasn't an LFO/modulation issue either, as the difference would sustain itself for the entire duration of the song until I stopped and rewound again a few times.

Crappy coding? Yes.

It's not that FL has any worse sound quality, but it's handling of a few plugins was iffy at times. Thats the only fault I believe FL has other than the fact that it has dual core support. I've not had any of these problems in Cubase yet, but Cubase has crashed on me more times in the last month than FL has in the last 4 years.

Before you ask... yes... legit Cubase Studio 4. :p
MOST of my plugins are legit too. :p
