Personally I think people should wear whatever makes them feel good about themselves (however they define it: attractive, sexy, hot, nice, interesting, unique, etc.).
People's taste varies so much that it is impossible to even suggest that someone dress "tastefully" or "flattering". "Tastefully"/"Flattering" as in to you, as in to others, as in to themselves??? People have too many definitions, too many ideas of what flattering and tasteful is - it's best left up to the individual to decide (and dress accordingly).
If dressing in baggy, loose clothes makes you feel the best - go for it. If dressing in tight fitting clothes makes you feel the best - do it. If showing off some skin makes you feel the best - nobody should stop you.
I think if anything - someone who dresses in a fashion (no pun intended) that makes them feel great is probably someone who is truly happy with themselves and confident enough to do so. |

Some people like bigger girls. To be totally honest I personally think some girls that are a bit chubby are very attractive vs. thin bone racks. I too have the thing that when I eat before I go out I have a lil bit of a pot belly and i'm a size 2.
Haha and since i'm in a good mood i'm posting a pic of me at exactly nine months pregnant. My son decided to wait another 2 weeks to join us out here in the real world. Now there's a pot belly!

you haven't lived in the us...spandex should be outlawed.
i don't give a about what they feel comfortable wearing...if i'm eating on a terrace somewhere and i get to see some beasts hairy back ...well lunch is a little ruined then isn't it.
we shouldn't be encouraging them, tight clothes are earned and not for the lazy.Don't talk to me about glands or metabolism, because its the 5 tubs of ben and jerry's and nothing else you fatty. |

BWAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Not to seem like a dick, or prejudice towards bigger folk, but freak is right when it comes to the US...even North America in general. 'Pot bellies' are fine but a 20' spare tire should be covered up. When I was in Florida ( Daytona and Tampa )I had NEVER SEEN so many FAT FOLKS. I don't mean big boned, large, or chubby. I mean OBESE....like it took years of over-eating and poor nutrition to acomplish such a thing.
I have heard the statistic that 1 in 3 north americans is over weight, but I never realized how accurate it was until I returned from eurotrip 04, and got on a public bus. WOW!!!!!!
There really is too much over-eating over here because folks don't have our dimensions in other first world/developed nations I've visited.
Oh, yeah a little pot belly is sexy on the right girl...usually a shorter one. A curve is a curve people, and curves are sexy!!!! |

| This reminds of the scene in Pulp Fiction where Bruce Willis' gf is talking about how she wants one, because they look sexy. |

| A little pot belly never hurt anyone. I kind of like a girl who's got a little bit of chubb, as opposed to a really skinny one. Having said that, I personally wouldn't really feel comfortable carrying around a spare tire. But I guess its good they got the self confidence to not care what others think. |

It can actually be pretty sexy. My ex of 3 years (many of you met her, that babe) had a tummy, and there wasn't any weight anywhere else.
What some people seem to find unsightly, is truly not the tummy itself, but how women wear their clothes around the waist area in an unesthetic manner. It's a fashion beef, not a body beef, so let's not be shallow, and real life isn't a FHM magazine. I for one am attracted to someone who has a je-ne-sais-qoi, and my she delivered. |

I agree that what turns one off might be hot to another, that we all should be accepting of others, and that everyone deserves to be comfortable in this hot, hot weather, but there is such thing as disgusting and extremely unappealing to the eye.
This is not 16th-century Turkey. Not only is very large unhealthy, but it is not appealing to the eye. I don't think this is simply what society deems as unattractive, but nonetheless, I still have to ride on the "to each their own" side of the fence here.

I agree that OBESE people need to....ahem.....be picky with their clothes (ie: i had to wear a jogging suit to Bal en blanc while other bitches wore stickies over their ....it works better for both of us).
However, one ought to rememer that while bigger/curvier/bustier/volumptuous girls such as myself do not necessarily carry off the latest trends with the greatest of ease, I do look f*cking fabulous naked. :haha: :haha: :haha:
T&A and curves look so much better than bones sticking out when the clothes are removed, trust me I stare at myself in the mirror. ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :tongue3 :tongue3 :tongue3 :tongue3 |
