Yeah, they have pretty strict policies regarding age and dress code. They target the bay st. yuppies who have cash and spend it. It's always the girls that bring the men in, so unfortunately most clubs are like that.... BUT Schmooze also used to not have a great reputation regarding racism. I've been there often with my brown friends without any incidents, but read some terrible write-ups a couple years ago on clubcrawlers.

oh no my sisters got in fine as well as some other indian's in the group.

so one of my sister's came back out for me and tried to talk the dude at the door to let me in but he wouldnt and we saw what was going on so anyone that walked up to the club, we advised not to go in cos of what they were doing and how "crappy they are" so about 20-25 people walked away cos of us :stongue: they couldnt really do anything to us as we were on the pavement and not on their property. they watched in dismay and couldnt help themselves....

was i wrong to do so? no.. they got what they gave.

hahaha @ Liam's story. That's awesome. I hate clubs like that. I rarely go. I usually go to the more regular style (or lounges when I want a change of pace) as the ones targeted for the "25+" crowd are annoying imo. Lounges: anything on college really, there are one or two on Queen st, don't know if they're still there, Nasa etc.

they get really busy in there, but you did what you did to make you feel better, and it is commonly a stuck up crowd, UNTIL about 7:30-9pm when these office working girl types start to lose it. The occasional cougar will pounce on the unsuspecting young man there.

there are alot of 25+ places which basically say 25+ but accept people who come off more mature or fit in fine

Phil's sketch is not even funny.

And the tunes there suck.

Here's an idea. Buy Phil's, put in a decent sound system and play good tunes.

But its not even in Kitchener. It's in Waterloo baby. ;)

There's a difference :D

I'd support that. Would make Waterloo a much more attractive place to live to me :toothless

Phils with GOOD TUNES would prolly take over my life ... I would love to be living in that apartment dorm right beside it if that was the case ;)
