Sensitvity vrs Input Level

Hi,

I did try searching for an answer here before I posted this but couldn't find one - hope I didn't miss it.

Can anyone explain the difference between Sensitivity and Input Level? They both seem to do the same thing. Is it simply that if I'm recoring two instruements at once, I can change the level coming in from each one seperately with sensitivity, and input level adjusts the volume of the two together? I'm using a Boss BR300CD.

Thank you

This sounds very specific to your boss. What does the manual say?
CrayC
It's a Boss BR900CD, not 300CD, and the user guide says:

to record a good sound level, adjust the sensitivity so that the peak indicator lights momentarily...

and

The volumn level is adjusted with the MASTER fader and the INPUT LEVEL knobs.

sounds like they are chained after each other i.e.
signal path:
sensitivity ---> input level --> master
