Anyone frequent Vanguard?

I've been there a couple times and liked...no no no, in LOVED the music both times. My problem is I'm new to the LA EDM scene and don't really know anyone. So uh er....any TAs oft the Vanguard? And what goes on there on a Thursday and Friday?

| yeah the vanguard is awesome. i probably don't go there as often as i should but this is gonna be one hell of a summer i can't miss ;) nothing interesting going on thurs and fri....giant saturdays are where its at :haha: |

| tons of us go there almost every saturday! just keep an eye out on these boards for roll calls and flyers etc and you'll see who goes and then can meet up with us!!! looking forward to meeting you :) |

Ya, but it depends what DJ is playing on Saturday nights. Sometimes Avalon is good, sometimes Vangaurd is good. For example, this Saturday, it's gonna be all about Avalon (Richie Hawtin, Marco Corola, Magda, and Droog).
What kind of music are you more into? Trance? House? Techno? Or do you like it all?
Vangaurd is hip hop on Friday nights (I think), euwwww!! But there are other good things on Friday nights, like Compression & Basic @ King King. |

I like it all. And I do like Richie Hawtin, but The Crystal Method is playing at Vanguard this Saturday and I think I need a good dose of breaks.

Yup king king is good for the most part deep HOUSE! I have been there few times and its kinda ehh. So I guess it depends on what going on around there... |
