How to keep the hammer sound out?

This thread has been brought to you by the Mexican guy who keeps renovating apartment rooms next to mine with a GOD DAMN HAMMER AND SAW at 8am on random days, and hammering more rediculous in the basement on other random days, keeping me up all day with nothing to do but spam TA and masturbate (separately).
I can't sleep and earplugs aren't doing the trick (they reduce about -23 dB). At least not with the GOD DAMN hammering. Do you think I'm ed since the hammer sound is travelling through solids (i.e. through the walls and floor). Or is there something to put on the walls to absorb/diffuse that sound? I really need to find something to reduce this noise. I hate noise. :( Hammers should be OUTLAWED until I wake up! :mad:
