This is now the third tune I've worked on, and I had a lot of fun with it. Definitely a different take on the original, hope you all like it - feedback definitely welcome and highly appreciated!

The file is a 192kbs MP3 - Full Length :)

well produced, and sounds like a completely professional track
that said, i'm not a big fan of house or acid :/
still enjoyed it though
also generally seemed too soft compared to other tracks i'd been playing immediately before it, but idk
i think its mainly just the high pitched ringing thing, i have reeeeeeeally sensitive ears so that thing just kinda hurt and ruined the track for me :/ |

i remember the thread about some Way Gravy (microcosmic?)remix where it was all "he just re-arranged the sound packs."
This seems to be the same case, with one of the background loops from the original song being the forefront hook for this song, almost like only the volume had been changed.

Really?
:(
Edit 2: Nevermind, I think I kind of get what you're saying.... Nonetheless, I still don't think they're all that similar.
Edit 3: And if you don't mind, please expand on where you feel they're similar... It'd only help. |

aite, well i actually switched to my laptop for the night, so i don't have either copy, so this is off the top of my head. (i'll reply again in the morning when i get back to the desktop)
from what i remember, the whole section of ~5:00 in the original is copied+looped for the entirety of your mix (minus the progression to the full loop for the buildup). I'm pretty sure I could hear the Acid loop that was highlighted in your mix as a background loop in the the original mix (albeit lower in volume and not a centerpiece)
When i get back on the desktop in the morning, i'll reply again, hopefully with a more refine response. but cheers mate, i didn't mean to invoke the original response you had to me (something along the lines of "i guess i should quit") |

Thanks man - I see what you're saying, but I do think there's a bit more going on there than just that. The synth line is certainly amplified and affected, but I don't want to get in a pissing match over litte things, I definitely respect your opinion and can see why you're saying what you are - I just disagree.
I appreciate the response, regardless. I'm new to this - so anything specific is helpful to me here. :) |
