Myra, excellent mix. Your summer mixes always seem to be my favorites for some reason. Maybe, its because I actually get plenty of time to listen to them before leaving a review. The piano closer seemed fitting and well placed, very Robert Miles. Anyway, good job.

bumped because this set ing rocks. nice work, i can tell that it was obviously very well mixed from a harmonic standpoint. not to sound like a selfish but i used nightwalk in an old mix and took it in a completely direction; it was really refreshing to hear someone else's (far superior) take on the mix. excellent, excellent work.

LUSH

If I could put one word that would describe this mix it would be Lush. Honestly I am completely impressed and was very happy with what I heard. I knew nothing about any of those songs before listening to the mix and had no idea what to expect. What I got was a very well done, classy, proggy, synthy mix. Honestly this sort of brought me back three years seeing deep dish at soundbar play some of the moodiest and sexiest house. I didn’t know they still made this type of house and I’m glad they do.

Hopefully don’t take this the wrong way but the mix has a real feminine feel to it. Which to me is good thing and even if I didn’t know it was you spinning I could tell. It’s not like a lot of the obnoxious, noisy electro or over layered trance that I’ve been forced to endure; the majority of the tracks were very pleasant and classy. The beginning is my favorite part because I have always been a sucker for “Detroit” synth based feel good tracks. I usually hate vocal tracks but the few that are in the middle are very well done and well placed.

All of the mixing is perfect but that is my only problem with the mix. Everything is almost too perfect and this can be a turnoff. I don’t know whether it was made in ableton or tractor or something but it didn’t have that real live mix feel. If I am wrong and it was mixed live on CD’s then more power to you because the mixing is top notch, everything fits together real well. There are no clashes in sound or key problems. I would have liked to hear more eq’ing in the mixes to bring in and out certain sounds in the songs during the mixes but that’s only a small complaint.

My girl is going to love this mix as well. She was a trance, progressive fan before we started dating and I have slowly moved her to the dark side but she is now a fan of both. This is the perfect medium of compromise for us and I could definitely see us cruising to cedar point on a warm summer morning jamming to this mix. Overall I give it an 8/10. You, Rob and myself need to throw down this summer for sure.
