When you go to NZ, there's something they don't tell you in tourist guides much and for good reason.
Weta's
Weta's are not nice at all, they run around wherever they want (because I don't think they can fly) and they eat other insects with huge big chompers. So, when you and 2 girlfriends go skiing there, come back from a night of drinking to your motel and find a weta in the bathroom, you'll never sleep with the light off again until you fly out... oh and screaming really loudly like someone's cut your arm off doesn't make Weta's go away either. :(
(not my photo, I found it on the internets... last thing I'm doing with these bastards around was taking photos of them in case it tried to tear my throat out) |
