Any users of Jeskola Buzz? Share your machines, generators, samplers etc. Opinions and ideas are welcome too :) |

my job may be on the line because i f*cked up big time after a night of buzz (=little sleep). for the sake of a tune! relationships are crackling (w/ girlfriend of 3 yrs), because i like making music on buzz. i am being offered an opportunity w/ a record label (xtra pressure), though this contravenes w/ other stuff (my job). can't seem to let go, once involved. abstained after 4 yrs of study, but now its catching up w/ me.
hearing new music doesn't help! alva noto's latest. anything on miasmah. Chk Ben Frost Theory of Machines, and if you're not hooked i sympathise w/ YOU!
this is addiction... spend hours on parameters? buzz = m. addiction? can you relate? |

if it's a startup crash, there are 2 things to try:
1. Create a shortcut to Buzz. Right click it and select properties. There you should find "compatibility". Try setting it to windows 98 or Win 2000.
2. If that doesn't work then you have a ed generator or effect. Basically remove everything from the generators folder and then start dragging generators in, 10-15 at a time. Restart buzz every time you add new generators. When you get an error message you know you have just added at least one faulty machine, isolate it (find out just exactly which generator it is) and delete it. |

| After trying it for a year or 2 I stopped messing with Buzz. Glad I came across Renoise. Teh oldskool looks&feel with nu skool shizzle |

The answer would be yes, I actually use it. I love it :). Buzz is awesome too, but it's stability was a huge issue for me, plus it's GUI didn't work for me. It wasn't very inspiring. Renoise is, for me. That's a very personal opinion though. |
