Well, the general consensus was that everyone was goign to get burned like they have many times in the past when dealing with an unknown promoter in the psy scene. There are many unscrupulous characters in this world and I wanted to play it safe. I was at another psy event. I don't like Henry Fonda and opted to see a lesser known psy act on the particular night in question. I was also planning on seeing Astral Projection at an event in a Mexican jungle later on but Rage Against the Machine at Coachella fell on the same day.
Needless to say, I will be at Avalon tonight. I hope all these Israeli DJs don't play Skazi and Infected Mushroom all night long :rolleyes:
I predict a night with no flow plagued by poor mixing. I will sit through it all for Astral though. ;) |

| Skazi is . He gets no respect in Israel. Thing is he is a fun show even though the music is bad and sounds the same. The guy is nuts and brazil and japan and mexico are huge fans. I love Infected but they dont work well with an astral projection night so i doubt that will be played alot if at all. Maybe older IM but nothing with guitars. |

| Great time indeed. Though the music was not as how I was expecting it tobe, and this includes AP and DJ Loli as well, the Isreali ppl sure know how to make up for it. Awesome party vibe, awesome crowd. The night was simply the best. Even Sasha woudln't beat any of these amazing Isreali parties. :P |

amen to that! im hooked with israeli psy trance... the holy land produce the best music... oh yea.. you guys that love psy... please put a word on the astrix SF thread... i live in SF, and i want astrix to come here, but there need to be more response in the astrix forum....

i had a great night with friends, thank you bob and billy for the great fun!!!! and so good to see ruben and dance all night with ed!
i really liked the opening djs set, interesting how they played house before AP but oh well. AP got on and played for about an hour and a half, it wasn't what i was expecting and they had this drummer playing with them that kinda ruined it for us! it totally distracted and seemed off all night. dj loli played a solid psytrance set and then club crashers came up next and the dj that spun was typical afterhour power stuff. he dropped life less ordinary and sped it up and then tried to unsuccessfully do tricks during the track and ruined it!!! it was painful and so by 6 am we headed out.
so much fun though hanging out with bob and ed all night! thank you guys for staying so late :D
i'm glad i saw sasha friday so i didn't miss him entirely! sounds like he killed it again at vanguard. |

Yep, it was a lot of fun. Thanks sarah and bob for the good night. I would of never thought I'd be up on the stage at a show. haha. Awesome. And yeah, I'd have to agree... AP wasn't as good as I was hoping, but we made the night fun anyways, hehe.
