with the length of a bar\
for instance, 4 beats last 1.720 secs.
So how many beats last 60 secs?
4/1.720*60*1000 = 140,0233372

Run it through some BPM counter software... such as "mixed in key". This will only work if it has some kind of regularity to it such as a drum beat.
If it is a melody, use an online beat counter to manually estimate the bpm when the sample is looping. http://www.b-boys.com/classic/beatcounter.html
Next method, is to cut one bar, and use the time stretching tool in your host to tell you the original bpm. |
