jake, clubs make more money by appealing to hot chicks. guys go to, and spend money at, the clubs with the girls. that's just how it is. if you're that jealous of their preferential treatment, i suggest getting that operation you've always wanted.

I thought EDM clubs were supposed to make money by appealing to good DJs that spin good music? Oh that's right. No one goes to listen to the DJ anymore. They all go to idolize women. At one point two female go-go dancers came to the front of the stage to dance while The Crystal Method was spinning. One of the guys came out from the DJ both and shoo'ed them back. Seems that they were still all about their music and not starving Kate Moss.

The idea to appeal to hot chicks is simply unfair when you don't appeal to hot men too. But then again, you're completely right because women still act like fragile little cunts that want YOU to chase THEM. This may not be true in all cases, but it's true enough to perpetuate the "appealing to hot chicks" stereotype. Still it annoys the out of me and just makes me point out the blatant fact that women aren't equal at all. They're stills sex objects and I'm still jealous because I want to be one too but people like you believe stripper poles are for women only.

I'm still not going to the "operation" I've always wanted. Gay bars play ty music in LA (except 7969 on Sat nights, good electroclash and breaks).

now that im a bit more sober and thikning more clearly, here's the overall take-home point of my thread (i know im gettin serious now, wah wah wahhhhhh).

The rave/EDM scene in America used to be a lot more tolerant of both sexes, letting everyone let loose. But now it's turning into more of a shallow top40/pop joint where women are the center of attn and the only sex allowed on poles/boxes. That's just really lame. What next, discounts for them too at the door? To the clubs that do that...I mean common, why? They're not senior citizens. They're women. helllloooo they make 75 cents to the man's dollar now. So at least make them pay 75%, jeez. What happened to the days when the women gave my ass a good ol fashion groping?

In all honesty, I blame the degradation of the rave scene on the hyphy movement. Nowadays, I see more and more thuggish kids bring their "hyphy" mentality into the scene and it just really ruins the vibe of things. A few years ago, I used to enjoy driving out to parties in the Bay Area because I loved the sort of vibe and a feeling of coming together when hundreds of people are dancing with you to the music that you all love. Now I wonder what is the point, when I'm starting to see the exact same over there that I can easily get here in the Valley. And the worst part is, most of these kids aren't even gangsters. They're just posers. And I'm sure you can expect a lot more of them trying to ridicule and punk gay guys because it's cool.

i never said it was right, merely that its the state of affairs in virtually any pub/club i have ever attended, ever.

oh boo-hoo! i always find it hilarious (and mildly annoying) when men complain about the perceived inequities in such insignificant contexts like clubbing or pole dancing :haha: perhaps we should all march on the capital and burn our jockstraps coz we feel oppressed! cry me a river. oh, and i never said the pole should be for women only ;)

When I'm drunk I'm a little dummed down. So when some stripper chick is teaching me how to pole dance and I get kicked off but she doesn't, then I complain. That's like someone telling me I can't order food when someone else ordered the same thing. However, I don't care enough to have a jock-strap-burning fag parade in DC so don't keep your hopes up pkcRAZY. Jeez what's up with you? If I ever see you out, I'm going to strap your sorry ass down and give you a lapdance. RECRUIT!

FYI there were plenty of hot guidos with their shirts off at WMC and being sexy all over the place. Why not here in LA? Are men just overall uglier over here?

Really? So because on average men weigh more than the vazheens, that measn my 155lb fat ass is going to throw down an entire pole whereas some 250lb chick with flailing ti flapping all over my succulent face won't?!?
