Headphone Thread

EDIT:

And another thread comparing your two choices specifically:

I have sennheisers. I don't think they are very comfortable to wear. They seem to clamp tightly over my ears. But I guess it's hard to generalize.

Sennheiser HD-280 Dynamic Collapsible Headphones

they just looked/seemed more sophisticated but i'm not a headphones specialist... i forgot to look more in the link but maybe you could check out the reviews on amazon and epinions.com

neither, the grado sr-60s or 80s are both better than either of those and i've owned hd280s and v6s

i used to date a guy who did mixing/mastering and he swore by them

:wtf: ok, anyone want to recommend the grados then?

enferno knows, I would always choose Sennheiser over Sony with similar pricing

i really dont like the sony ones, poeple say they sound good for mixing but not for me.... they never hold tight enough around my head...

get the sennheisers!

i have 12 of them, which i bought 3 years ago. not a single one has fouled up, and are used almost every day, and definitely not taken care of as they are tossed around and semi-abused by the random bands that go through here. the sound quality is excellent, very are superbly comfortable due to their floating headphones, and are very worth the $100
