Is Tiesto coming to Avalon or 4th and B this year?

| Theres a huge gap in his schedule near the August EOL gig at the LA Sports Arena... hes played at Avalon the last few years now and that would suck if New York gets him twice and LA only once... also on his US tours, every date is usually filled up and theres some dates missing but most importantly, I would like to know if anyone has heard any rumors/info if there will be any dates in San Diego, Tijuana, Los Angeles besides the LA Sports Arena. I'm surprised its taking this long if there are any negotiations going on... He played at a very low key event last February (2006) and I was so pissed off I didn't hear or see about it... any news/rumors would be appreciated!! |

If Tiesto can do a large scale event in a city, he'll do that over a club event. Just how it is with him. It's better exposure for him to do one 7,000-10,000 person event than two 1,500-2,000 people events where the vast majority of that crowd are going to be the same people both times. :)
My point is. I wouldn't be amazed if he doesn't do any club events in LA or SF this year. Right now he's booked to do large scale events in both places (though LA is a Tiesto in Concert and his SF one is basically a massive based around him where he gets a whole side of a flyer to hisself lol. |

I know that... my point was the huge gap leaving a possibility for the smaller gigs... he won't come to the USA, leave, come back, leave, etc. If hes going on tour here, chances are he'll fill almost every date and just stay in the area.

Well its supposed to be an EOL concert not TIC but the promoters made a big mistake calling it that... its supposed to be EOL as TIC was a concept that ran from 2003-2005. SF is a club gig but with his name he can take up that whole space :tongue3 Hmmmm since you work for Spundae, can we already rule out the possibility that he won't be doing something for them this year? :toocool: That leaves Avalon and Vanguard still in the running! I just have a big feeling that he'll be doing something else in LA because one of his houses is here and why would NY get 2 five hour gigs and LA only 1 five hour night? Doesn't make sense... He plays almoste very Friday and Saturday and the weekend hes in LA, thats a Saturday gig leaving his Friday open.. |

Spundae is a part of AVALAND nights (though it's not really promoted -- why not? I'd like to know myself!) at Avalon now. Spundae became a part of AVALAND in February.
But just saying that's how a few DJs are these days. It might be possible they play at clubs in LA (and SF), but honestly if he does I don't think it'll be until right near the end of the year...in the end, I doubt anyone knows for sure. |

| The LA Sports Arena date is part of his big "world tour" thing, so there won't be multiple dates in one city. I'm assuming once the main part of the tour is over, he will re-visit a bunch of cities to do some regular DJ dates. |

Just a thought . . .
Street Scene has moved to the Del Mar Fair grounds this year September 22nd & 23rd and as much as they seem to mimic Coachella I would not be surprised if a large EDM "act" makes an appearance. |

If thats is true, how come New York gets 2 back-to-back dates when LA gets only 1 and he lives here... there has to be another gig in the works... hes in SF on July 28th then August 11th at the LA Sports arena... that huge gap leads me to believe he will be playing lots of gigs here on the West Coast... |

Seating Capacity:
Hammerstein Ballroom NY - 2,500
Bill Graham Civic Center SF - 7,500
LA Sports Arena - 16,740
New York dates will not even make the same revenue even if it's running back-to-back compared to SF or LA.
And there are only 13 days between the SF & LA events, it doesn't make good business practice if there's another Tiesto event in California. Promoters will lose ticket sales unless he plays in very small venues like Nacional for MNS. |

Tiesto has done back-to-back nights in LA before. And in SF. He's doing back-2-back nighs in Vegas in September. So what?
And Tijs lives in LA? News to me. Know he crashes with BT when he's visiting.
Tijs always takes big breaks when he's on the west coast to hang out with people he knows (mainly in LA) and sometimes to even work on tracks (like with BT). You are reading too much into it. |

i've heard that from several people but no one has actually verified it. i do know he bought a million $ place just north of South Beach recently.
we bumped into him at Privilege on Sunset a couple of days before Coachella.
for contractual reasons, i would not expect him to play LA for several months at least after the August show. |

| If you just want to rub elbows with him, a reliable birdie told me he usually hung out @ Nacional when he was working on ISOS5. |
