The concept behind this party is simple, we love dance music, we love partiers, we love the djs and promoters that have been makin this scene work! So this nite is your nite, the cost will be cheap, the line-up will be sick, and the party will be hoppin allllllll night! Keep an eye out for the details to be posted as soon as we confirm them, and flyers soon after that! See you all on the dance floor!
We Have also decided to use this as a fundraiser for energizer 2. We are putting alot more money and time into the 2nd one (even though the first was very succesful) So, this is also now a Energizer 2 Fundraiser. This one is gonna better than the last!! Woo Hoo!!!

You'll get a better response, since everyone is always lookin for parties, raves etc at those posts.

Actually it was Ben being a smartass about how the scene in Sacramento sucks :o
But this post probably should go into one of the stickies up top because no one will find it among the masses of posts in the West Coast forum. |

Its funny when i hear that, considering our state capitol is sacramento.
Maybe if they booked a San Francisco Dj like myself it will be more lively? (hint)
I dont think it sucks that much per say, just gotta get more people out that way to check out venues... |

The problem is the venues though. There is only one club and one bar in Sacramento that plays EDM (house), no trance, and its only a couple times a month. Sacramento isnt an EDM city, not even close. If a venue were to be strickly EDM, it wouldnt make any money because there wouldnt be a big enough audience to support it on a regular basis.
The new EDM nightclub on the outskirts of the city limits, GLAM, has potential but we will see how it goes and if it survives.
I would love for you to come to Sac to play, but I would hate to see the disappoint on your face when you see the crowd. BUT I HAVE HOPE FOR ONE DAY! |

exactly! i remember paul oakenfold came here back in 2002 and it didnt sell out. for s sakes its PAUL OAKENFOLD! back in his heyday! thats how sad the edm scene in sac is..i almost said "here in sac" cause im here right now but i dont live here anymore so i cant say that. |

| i saw oakenfold this past summer here, and it was sold out. there was a rave a few months ago with, rick v. dyloot, tom slik, drc, denice, and donald glaude, talk about sf djs? theres 4 right there and a big headliner, it was so packed in there all i could do was stand on the stage the whole time. For my party, i am bringing out ron resser (sf) and cal-trance, and elucidate (sf). and yes there is only one venue that basically supports edm, but it is pretty much every night, and club glam is owned by jimmy mondragon and if you know anything about the sacramento summer music fiasco and his treatment of promoters and djs then you would know its not gonna work. i just saw denise saturday night. this saturday mars will be here, and donald glaude packed out the park ultra lounge just 3 weeks ago. the scene is getting bigger and better. anymore crap talking that i can disprove? |

oakenfold can easily bring a crowd in sacramento now. albeit only cause hes now HUGE compared to what he was then in the mainstream of society. considering no real edm heads can stand his anymore. he doesnt mix anymore (coachella anyone?), he throws a sloppy set and then blames the equipment for his errors. i have a friend who is a good friend of oakies and even he agrees that he just doesnt give a . hes in it for the money now. :( |

Oakie was all ed up for his show at BarCode in Sac. Heard his set was a trainwreck.
Regarding the raves: I'm not going to wait around until day of the event to find out where the "secret" location is. Just put a location on the damn flyer and make it a REAL event! :wtf:
