Drinking sucks once you're out of highschool :/ (pg. 2)

I think the whole thing was more interesting for you because it was something you weren't supposed to be doing. Now that you can get away with it it's not as fun for you.

I don't think it's quite that, in that the idea that it was rebellious or taboo or whatever. I mean my parents hated me drinking, but I hated that they hated me doing it, I would have been perfectly happy and still enjoyed drinking if they'd accepted it. Would have been easier because I wouldn't have stressed so much about finding a place to crash or sobering up before I went home at night.
Maybe it was just more exciting then. It was something new and people talked about it all the time, about whatever party was on next weekend and who did what last weekend, and I dunno. I mean dumb happened, but that was part of it. But now when I do dumb while drunk I'm, not embarrassed exactly, but I wake up wishing I hadn't done it. The whole highschool social calender when I started drinking was based around alcohol, now it's just meh, don't really care, just dont find being drunk all that fun for it's own sake any more. Different people, different situations and all.

crack, never touching it, sitting in a room sucking a crack pipe isn't my idea of a good time. I am doing E again this weekend for the first time in 6 or 7 months though, really excited for that, E seems like so much more fun and fulfilling for it's own sake and for the experiences it brings than alcohol does. |

Same here...it's one of my favorite things to do.
However I never touched alcohol in High School..first time I ever tasted it was when I was 20, (I'm 23 now).

Hehe yeah I remember the first time I tatsted it..it was on my 20th birthday party..Amaretto yummmm..
But yeah prior to that I was a freakin ANGEL...never touched alcohol or drugs, no cigarettes either... I don't know what happened. :tongue2 |

i never drank until i graduated high school - but when i started drinking, i was in germany and 18. so i was legal. lol. it was when i came back to the states and entered college that it was illegal again. but i was in college, so it was kinda like the thing to do. LOL |

Amaretto is awesome. When you mix it with pepsi it tastes just like candy :) I used to be innocent until I was 20 as well. I only drank a few times throughout all of high school. I am taking a break from doing anything period for awhile. I have my girlfriend who I love and that's better than anything. I know that sounds sappy but it's true hahaha |

I don't know what it is with sweet alcohol. That gets me PLASTERED.
I also tried Hypnotip recently..at first it was just an alcoholic beverage, only later did it become a state of mind. :nervous: |

i like to drink, because i like to drink. i enjoy THE TASTE.
so basically, i will only drink if it is half-decent booze, and i like how the end product (if i'm mixing with something) tastes.
ie. if i can, i avoid Smirnoff vodka, because i dislike the taste. if the orange juice we have sucks ass on its own, it'll probably suck ass when mixed with gin. so i'll skip that. i won't drink any rum under certain aging levels, because it tastes bad, and gives you a ing bitch of a hangover and will up my stomach.
and such. i'll keep drinking as long as i am still enjoying it. if i'm not enjoying it, then why would i keep doing it? in many cases, for some people, BOOZE IS BOOZE, no matter what. too bad it sometimes takes them a while to realize nothing could be further from the truth.
say no to bad booze. |
