ing sick show. R-Man opened up for Three. Played a pretty mellow opening set. It wasn't as intense as his opening set for Jody last week, but it was chill nonetheless. When Three got on, he dropped Blackstrobe - Nazi Trance Off! (James Holden remix), which I've never heard played live in at club. It was nice to hear that for the first time. His first four-five transitions were a little on the shaky side, but he definitely redeemed himself after this. He has one of the most impeccable track lists that I've heard from any DJ, he can read the crowd with great precision, and he knows exactly what to play to get the crowd moving. After he was comfortable with the equipment the quality of his mixing went up too.
He was TEARING it the up from 11pm-2am.... and he was just relentless. There wasn't a moment where I didn't want to dance, I felt guilty just going to the bathroom or chilling on the patio upstairs; his set was that great. I went expecting it to be good, because I've heard a lot of good things about DJ Three on here; and he delivered, but he took it to a completely different level, absolutely phenomenal set. The crowd was chill, he had the entire floor moving. Pretty nice guy too - I asked him for some track names and he was totally down-to-earth about it, wasn't snobby at all. He dropped so many dope new tunes I've never heard before, I would have had to ask him every 10 minutes what he was playing in order to find out what they were. There were 7-8 girls to every guy which spiced up the eye candy factor. His set consisted of everything from deep house, techno, minimal, progressive, electro. It was all over the place. Monday Social always delivers. People still wanted to dance after his set. It could have easily gone until 3 or 4 imo. DJ Three is now one of my favorite DJs. :p A great personality/attitude plus great tracks & mixing = ONE BAD-ASS ING DJ! :D
