holy crap this sucks...

so... lightening hit my house today, and I lost everything in my room that is electronic... this means all 6 computers and all of my dj equipment...

currently i'm on my phone stealing my neighbor's wifi... which luckily works or i think i would die...

dont they got surge protecter for that kinda stuff... why dont you got that... or did you and it didnt werk...

the electric utility company can put lightning arrestors on your system, after the transformer changes it from transmission voltage to your house's voltage.

you can invest in an isolation transformer or a power conditioner, but . . . i don't believe that would help with a direct strike.

there are heavy duty surge protectors that mount in your electrical panel, but . . .

most UPSs have very good surge potential, but . . .

What the hell?

Lighting hits your house and the first thing you do is use a phone to go on the internet and tell a bunch of strangers about it?

Surely you have more important things to do, such as claim your insurance, organize the repairs, and cry over your thousands of dollars of lost electronics?
