| There is a few different types of "speed cats". Some have the goodyear thing but the first few types for Karting are just like ones you see on the street. When they first started popping up I asked them if they were racers..all I got was a wierd look. I was used to seeing them at the track because they were used there for a few years before they got trendy. |

They are supposed to be thin for their original design, to feel the peddles while racing. I have flat feet so standing in them for extended periods hurt. They are great while driving karts. |

Same here, I like that style too (beside skating shoes like Vans and DC).
They look both sporty and stylish. :)
Btw, I bought them out of season so they cost me 50% less ($37 instead of $134).

Yeah, it indeed is, but like I said, I get to wear them only in spring/summer and eventually early autumn.
Crowdy places are out of question if you don't want them to get dirty within <5 minutes.
