The definition of "race" is way too ambiguous for me to say yes or no. If we're talking about purely phenotypic differences (skin color, fat location, etc.) then I guess you could say that there are tons of races. However, if we're to only base race on a specific physical difference, say skin color, then the definition of race becomes arbitrary and purely a social construct.

Medically there are some (not many) differences in the "races," but there are medical differences between many populations that we wouldn't say belong to different races.

I think the problem is that people try to interchange ethnicity with race and then create reasons that one race is advantaged or disadvantaged because of it. The majority of the differences we see between different ethnic groups is social or cultural and not biological. Trying to justify these differences by classifying people as being part of different "races" is purely artificial.

Yup, pretty much spot-on.

Not only that, but we do it on every level of our lives. We believe ourselves to be the superior beings on the planet, no matter the context, when in fact there are species that have been evolving for billions of years longer than us and have mastered a lot of the effects of survival in ways that we can't even fathom, because we can't necessarily scientifically discern it yet.
