It shouldn't even be a question, i meen come on piet is a mthrfking legend of a dj and their music has always been elite and the best in trance, not to mention he doesn't come around very often (CL makes his rounds, plus he's local)
It would be a dissapointment if he didn't close, almost disrespectful, he deserves to close and tear the roof off the place.. but come to think of it, if he doesn't close why in the world would he hold back? CL is a pro and im sure he wouldn't be threatened. |

Like any respected/pro dj, Piet plays by the rules so he knows he can't bang it out if he's not closing. Many of us here love Rank 1 but the unfortunate fact is most people will be at Giant to see CL so it would make sense if CL was the closing dj. After all, he's #4 on the (ridiculously stupid) list and Rank 1 wasn't even in the top 100 :( In general, CL also plays harder trance than Piet. We'll just have to wait until one of us posts the set times to find out.... |

Your 100% right, and it is all about numbers and popularity which is unfortunate but that's just the way it goes.
However the first time i ever saw piet he closed out the armada party at circus after AVB and stole the show. Hopefully Giant will think outside the box and take a chance because if piet closes out the night, it will be epic for sure. |

| I dont think Rank 1 will be closing, nor do I think he should. CL plays a harder brand of trance and is currently at the top of his game, and one of the leaders of the trance scene right now. Why in the world would they have Rank 1 close |

Have you ever seen piet close out a night?
I've seen CL numerous times and more than half of the time his sets are monotonous psy/tech like he's playing in the same key the whole night.
But he's very popular and has lots of fanboys/girls, and lets not forget he's number four on the popularity chart :rolleyes: |

| I'll be there for sure. :D Hopefully I can convince my hubby to come out with me that night. We'll driving home from AZ that day, so I do not know if he will be up to partying all night. |

i know!!!!! trust me, i'm not complaining but man, it seems like more than ever i am having to make tough decisions as to where to go and what djs to see. some of my favorites have been coming on the same nights!!!! i saw sander in miami and he just moved up a ton on my list so this was hard BUT............ if piet wasn't gonna be there i would be at sander!!!!!
but i gotta go b/c rank 1 is my second fav and i can't miss that idiot piet behind the decks, if nothing else just to make fun of him :D lol, j/k! i'm going to dance my ass off as i do for every single one of his sets |

Is June 23rd a Holiday weekend or something. You usually don't see that many big names in one playbill unless it's a Holiday weekend... |
