Some of his stuff is pretty original. It's good to see a diversion from all the cityscapes and construction equipment (even though those are cooler, because they actually work, they're not just art). They've got a whole event for this, it's called Brickfest:








And some dude actually built a working train set out of nothing but LEGO:



Yeah, it's more on the sweaty geeky engineering side than the artsy-fartsy beatnik side, but I happen to like it that way.

I never had the luxury of playing with Legos till I was like 10 and went to my friend's house. I had a fire truck though :P and teenage mutant ninja turtles :D
