wow... it's funny on here. the solution is simple... either arrange ur own event and get some people to come.... OR just buy a tix & enjoy the show... There is no control on the outcome of this event. it's a business of entertainment.... they are looking for profit like any other place. So they bring talent that people like.
I'm just please that we don't have to suffer like the people in some states that have to travel 500 miles to see ur common dj.
No to be a smart ass, but how many times will these events get bashed.
Same negative every year!! Just accept it or make a decision & not attend. BELIEVE ME... you won't be missed.
The party will go on....
And for the record... I may (in training) here on this site, but I'm very aware of the electronica scene and all that comes with it... repping from 98 baby!! |

| angello and axwell? Obv I'm there in a heartbeat, completely pumped. Though it is true, pretty much the same lineup as last years MM, just without van dyk. But whatever, honestly, I enjoy seeing markus schulz and van buuren every year, I have no problem with it. SO stoked for angello and axwell though, SO ING EXCITED!! |

| I have to say I dont care if its a similar line-up. Last year was great, and it should be freakin stellar again this year.. I'll be there with bells on!! |

My trio is planning it out already.
Great lineup... huge House names and without Paul maybe things will be event greater. I didn't dig the bit of his set I heard last year really... and feel he's a bit overrated as both a producer and dj. To each their own... I'll gladly go see my #1 Armin again anytime though!
Go Ventures should take a page out of Insomniac though and use the same setup as EDC. It's was great!
Chase & Status, Axwell, Armin, Markus, & Judge Jules... can't go wrong.
And for those with gripes... you organize your own events and try and make it... jeez... it's not so simple to seel the names of SVD, Fred Baker, Laidback Luke (whom I'd love to see added), Mike Foyle, or any other dj who hasn't been exxposed by being in the Top 10 or 15 in the last 3 years when the American audience as a whole started paying attention. I can't blame the companies for making the same lineups practically when they can pull heads and make a profit. I can guarantee that if you put Baker and SVD in for Markus & Judge Jules... the instant glamor of the lineup ceases to most listeners. |

fly across country from mississippi to california to party at EDC? something along those lines? Im glad you said this...because obviously there are many people in cali that have been spoiled by the scene they have..., at least you have a scene!

You must be eighteen or atleast under 21, no? I ask only because you say that last year's MM was great. Last years MM blew donkey dick; that is unless of course you enjoy being packed like a sardine into a venue with sweaty shirtless teenagers with eyes on their asses and not their faces.
Don't get me wrong, the lineup is solid as it was last year but there's something about massives like last year that make them very unejoyable. To say that last year was enjoyable is ridiculous! Maybe you were on something I would've had to been on as well to enjoy it though, you never know.

You have to understand a few of the people with gripes, I used to always love massives. However, with an MM like last year and a few other raves, it's all over. There's no doubt at all that the lineup's most of the time for these gigs are great but it's the atmosphere and the attitudes the dumbasses at these places provide that make it a bad experience. I understand that not everyone is 21 yet but when it's possible for you guys to see these lineups in a club atmosphere with respectable crowds, you too will understand where the bashing comes from.
I do agree with you about switching MM to the venue where EDC was this year, that might change a lot of the crowded situations as well as the atmosphere. |

It's sad, they can remove PVD (huge overhead for them) and still make $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
I'd love to see smaller name guys like Mike Foyle, Fred Baker, whom I don't think ever get to come to California, or even guys that don't come too often like Ronski Speed.
Too profit > all

When I was born, Carter was still president.. ok?
Anyway..., you are entitled to your opinion, and I'll concede that I had vip last year so my experience might have been a little different...but it doesnt change the fact that I really felt the sets where strong last year and I expect something at least on par with it this year.
Also, I agree with the idea that if the venue was moved to the EDC spot this year, you'd really relieve alot of that "sardine" syndrome that happens from time to time. Either way, with shows pulling in the crowds they do these days, you won't stave off that sardine feeling unless you are playing a venue as spread out as EDC. |
