2 jobs ago it was 25/hour. Then I just asked for more and they gave it to me. Next job ill as for 55. it just keeps going up.
Main thing is as long as you have the resources you can learn anything in just about 3 days. You dont always have to have an answer on the spot.
However, actually knowing a lot helps. |

Everything I have learned about Active Directory so far has come from self study and playing around a little on our small network. I wish we had the budget for a test network, but at this point we do not, so everything I do is in production.
At the end of August my employer is sponsoring me for a week of offical AD training to the tune of $1650. Zing. Someone's getting a phat wallet. |

| yeah if you can acquire the tools to install things like databases and servers at home you get a lot more edumakation. Its really worth it |

| Now that's WTF I'm talking about. I would LOVE to have the resources to set up my own Active Directory domain here at home. Then I could raise all sorts of hell and learn without breaking the production network. :D The kids would be bitching cuz dad locked down Internet Explorer and the Desktop. |

| By resources I mean someone sponsoring the hardware and software (Server 2003). :D One can acquire the software, er cheaply. Hardware can be another matter. |
