I'm interested to know if anyone is involved in investing in the stock markets. Domestic exchanges, emerging markets, international exchanges (London, Shanghai, Soa Paulo, Hong Kong, Tokyo, etc.)
Did you know the American benchmarks (Dow Jones, S&P500, AMEX, NYSE) have made about 10% annually since inception (decades and decades ago), which means that over time, the market has always gone up. SO by just putting money into a fund that invests in the entire exchange, market, or index, and holding over time, you will make pretty reliable earnings for your retirement, business venture, or big purchase.
So who is in the stock market!?!? |

Its called dealing with Morgan Stanley to deal with that so I can retire at 55 with 2 Mil+ to live off of.
The only stock I buy and sell regularly is ABT. I made 3 grand a few weeks ago when it topped at 59.22 a share and used the additional money to reinvest when it was at 53.98 (Was able to get buy 55 more at that price). |

I am actively trading in the Indian Stock Market.
I do not trade in US, though I know the market has been pretty okay. A couple of my buddies have made pretty good profit investing in 401 (they have made as much as 40,000 $ in last one year)
They say 2001 recession may start so watch out. I know atleast 4 companies that have laid off 5000+ employees |

not real money, though i follow it
as an investor right now i'd be cautious of the shanghai exchange, its overheating like crazy, and idk if you remember when they took a hit a few months ago but US stocks didn't seem to mind. however, if we're looking at an actual bubble burst you can bet your ass we're gonna feel it over here |

| China is a speculators game, so I'm not involved in any of that. I invest in only the american stock exchanges(NYSE, nasdaq, etc.) but if I had more money to invest, and wanted to go international, I'de just invest in an international fund, or buy stocks trading on the american exchange that have international exposure. Case in point, I bought TGA and BJS, both of which are trading on american stock exchanges, but a large part of their business is no in america, so I actually have an indirect exposure to international markets. International investing is outside my comfort zone, because of course I trust American markets only. We have the SEC and regulations that I am familiar with, so I feel safer. |
